My thoughts as well. Besides being minor (GPS, LTE... ? As stated multiple times these will require major changes to the housing, including materials!), I would say changes should also be pretty much costless on Eve side! Or at least assume they would be made / require an additional charge by backers (which, again, makes them hard, if not nearly impossible to accomodate at this point, because not everyone will agree, new payments & new variants to handle, etc.) In short, if they cannot be made for free, they are already something more than just "small changes".
Guys, let's remember that, if everything goes well ( ) hyper / early birds will receive the new, future proof, more expensive screen without any additional charge.
I mean, I would love to double the SSD space on my V-m3 (like it was suggested for the i7 and i5 variants), but I certainly wouldn't expect that to happen for free
TL;DR: In this "late production phase" there are two types of "minor" changes:
changes that might happen because they are minor and nearly costless (i.e. Software, firmware, nothing really comes to my mind regarding upgrades to already developed, tested and in many cases already produced/acquired hardware components)
changes that while possible because they do not require design interventions, might / will require additional payments by backers (i.e. upgrades on SSD, newer Iris graphics, better front/ rear camera, etc.).
I am just suggesting to consider cost in your "changes to the V as we fit the new display" suggestions
