What docks are people getting for their eve2

As Eve 2 shipping is approaching soon I want to get the gears I need to setup my work env.

This is getting exciting!

On another thread someone mentioned Caldigit TS4.

What’s everyone getting?

I decided between these (numbers mean the number of pieces).:

USB-A USB-C TB3/4 SD/μSD RJ-45 HDMI VGA USB-C PD Power Price
Kensington SD5700T Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock 4 3 3 1 1 TB/AC 488,90 €
Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock Chroma 2 3 3 1 1 TB/AC 380,90 €
D-Link DUB-M810 3 1 2 1 1 1 USB-C 62,90 €
I-TEC USB-C Metal Nano Dock 3 1 2 1 1 1 1 USB-C/TB 65,00 €
I-TEC Thunderbolt 3 5 1 1 1 1 1 1 TB/AC 296,90 €

I finally bought
I-TEC USB-C Metal Nano Dock

My priorities were

  • USB A, USB C
  • SD / μSD
  • RJ-45
  • the price

Note: prices in Slovakia

I got me ALogic MX2 Lite

I could use some help on deciding what dock would be best, especially since we now have a “delay” and I have time to understand what I need rather than just buy an expensive one and hope it does what I need. My Use case is mostly using the EVE V at my desk, with infrequent use for meetings, travel etc.

I have two general purpose office monitors mostly used for text, o

1x HDMI 1.4, 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, with a USB 3.0 hub
1x portrait mode 1200x1920 used in portrait mode can run off display port/DVI/VGA. It also has a USB 2.0 hub

I need Ethernet 1GB, upto 5 USB ports.

I’ve been using a Dell D3000 USB 3.0 dock with the USB, it doesn’t provide system power.

As I understand the EVE V spec it only has power via the USB 3.2 port? And the Power is 65W.

So as far as I can see, I need a hub that provides 65w of power via USB3, has 2x HDMI ports, 1x to drive monitor 1-native mode, 1x to drive monitor 2 via an HDMI to DVI adapter.

Given none of my USB cables is used much for data intensive ops, I need a dock that I can USB 2/3 to the Monitor USB hub(s).

Seems like a fairly low tech requirement, possibly not even possibly via current dock designs. Am I missing something? Any suggestions??

++Mark.

For example, this looks like it would work great.
Upto 100W power via USB-C, VGA for Monitor 2, HDMI for Monitor 1, Ethernet, USB 2 and 3 up stream.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ML5M2SB?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_NF4K1VWK7JVTVJK95CN6

or this with a card reader https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PRJJNGF?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_1X1AQ8SE9XGPX1VH3WPE

Again if I understand correctly, that would just be a single USB C 3.0 cable/port on the Eve V used for data and power?
