I have to correct this statement: the magnets cannot be made so strong they will hold a falling device. This is not possible with 99% certainty - no matter what. According to my xp at least even surface 3 (which is very light device) could not hold a falling device. The magnets are just not meant for that.
@nawthor according to your experience from Surface 4 pro, what would you evaluate of this magnet question? Also; SP4 kb can't hold a falling device, right?
Also we must remember that at this point our options to change the physical designs are quite limited.
That being said, we can try improving the strength of the magnets to the best of my abilities. I will give this thread a proper read trough to understand whether testers are having poor experience because of misalignment or the magnet strength itself (or both)
