I did not comment on this topic several days because it was asking about the i5, I was testing on the i7…
And this may be one of the case where i5 and i7 might have mattered a bit (Minecraft Java version being a bit taxing on the CPU).
Shortly speaking, the i7 prototype was capable of running Minecraft on default resolution (which is pretty high).
I brought the prototype with Minecraft loaded to some kids for them to try it out, they enjoyed it.
The framerate did slow down quite a bit when there are many entities in the screen like the following:
