As I’ve commented before: The decision to not order the housing units for LBs for the production of Vs at the time when HEBs needed to be reworked is the reason why LBs are being delayed now. If at that time someone from the Team simply said “Hey by the way, can you guys also ship 2000 fresh housing units with the new design that incorporates the new screen? That way when we are done assembling our initial batch we will have that housing ready for our next batch.”
I did receive a reply by Konstantinos basically saying the supplier doesn’t ship everything and units don’t pass quality inspection and we can’t really have employees staying there monitoring them. While this may be true, it had nothing to do with my question as that is after the fact. Even if 2000 fresh units were ordered and only 1000 were assembly ready due to shortages and poor quality, then that would have been 1000 more than 0.
Instead the Team waited until HEBs were shipped and then visited the housing supplier to place the order which is why production did not start right away, and probably hasn’t started until now or by the end of the week.
Therefore the argument that “don’t you think Eve is trying there best?” is childish and irrelevant. It is more about poor decision making that is leading to delays and other problems that could have been avoided with better planning.
I’d be less upset if someone from the Team acknowledged this instead of scapegoat style replies. A gentleman who commented by the name of Phil had commented about the Christmas shipping timeline a week ago saying that it would likely be missed and was more upset with promises by Eve that were likely to be broken rather than just being honest from the get go. I’m with Phil on that one.
