Hello all! Apologies if this isn’t the correct place to post this.
I will give a little background info for the question. I am looking to purchase a PS5 upon release and then the 4K spectrum. I play a lot fast-paced shooters (often warzone), so if I had an option between 4K 60fps and 1080 120fps on the PS5, I would choose the latter.
If I were to set the PS5’s output to 1080p - does anyone know if this will be integer scaled to 4K so that I can take advantage of the higher refresh rate and an integer scaled image?
I have heard that new GPUs are able to output 1080p signals and upscale them to 4K using integer scaling - which reduces blurriness when compared to other scaling techniques. I am not sure if this technology is restricted to gpus or if specific monitors themselves are able to do this (such as the spectrum).
Tldr: can the ps5 up-scale 1080p to 4k using integer scaling with the spectrum 4K.
