While Id agree, take note that most of the testers are coming from high performance laptops, that are much heavier than the V. However, we will get a lot of users coming from SP3 or similar tablets which weigh somewhere between 10-30% lighter than the V.
In addition to that, most users will feel the fatigue of holding a heavy device only after a certain amount of time. Its not something that youd notice within the first few seconds.
It would be great if you can do it with 15W TDP, as it lets the CPU (and cooler) to run at its full potential.
At its default setting, its quite disappointing though to find the V i7 lagging behind SP4 i5. I think if the V can ship with 15W TDP, it would give great review. I think it's great actually to have the V shipped with 15W TDP by default, or at least the review units should be shipped with 15W TDP by default.
It is, by the way, a common practice in the industry, some graphics card ship with the switch on the 'faster' position to the reviewers, and the 'quiet' position to the customers. The user can easily flick the switch to enable the 'faster' operating mode
