It all started with the first very big bang:

But shockwaves of Eve awareness are still happening!

Did you find other references articles to Eve and the V anywhere else? Feel free to link and discuss them here!

Community Digest 02.06
Opinion-leader wants to support the V - Loan him a prototype for a few days?
Article from Engaget - Very positive

I know that many good people in the Community have seen their patience put to the test in last few months… I can perfectly understand their frustration because they expected to have a V in their hands by now…

But guys, think about it! We are so close now! You can’t really be unhappy or pissed off if Eve takes a little spotlight on the bigger scene, something very difficult if you don’t possess the big :moneybag: !
Eve, the company you helped to craft and backed with your trust and money, needs this kind of awareness in order to succeed, and if it succeed it will be good for you personally as well in the middle-long term!

Personally, I am very happy that Computex opportunity happened and I hope Eve gets the most coverage possible. Congratulation to all the Eve Team and Community for getting from zero to the world stage through hard work and sharing ideas!

#5

@lamu That is a great Idea. Maybe you could make your post a wiki post so everybody can add links?

#6

It’s done! Feel free to add links

Since English is the official language of this Community, I restrained from posting links from Italian / other languages websites, even though I found at least one covering Eve at the Computex…

CNET says:

Intel Core i7
16GB RAM, 512GB onboard storage
12.3-inch with a resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 pixels
Quad speakers
48 Whr battery life
$799 (£625, AU$1,075)

yeah…i wish :stuck_out_tongue:

#8

Yeah it’s totally wrong adn they have already promised to fix it :stuck_out_tongue:

#9

This is really brilliant, looks like you’re going down a storm. Hyper excited :grinning:

Keep those articles coming!

#10

Also, I found this one here in the photo slideshow (CNET):

The Eve V will have a starting price of $799 (£625, AU$1,075), with a top-end model going for a whopping $2,699 (£2,110, AU$3,635).

Where do such sites pull their (wrong) information from?

#11

He mistakenly took from one of MS’s design but don’t worry, the final price won’t be almost double of what it was on the IGG campaign!!

#12

Don’t know how to add a link in the first post, but here’s a link to a hands-on video of the V. I don’t speak russian(?), maybe someone can translate the highlights.

#13

The “alternative facts” quickly spread…

#14

Oh yes
Saw that a while ago, but due to being not in English did not post it here.

That’s a great example of how some tech sites just spread the same things you can find on another, without (to be fair sometimes also without the possibility) to crosscheck it.

#15

certainly seemed enthusiastic.

For a moment tough we might see what happened when the V dropped on the floor the amount of waving arms with it in his hands!

#16

I watched this with the Youtube autotranslation from Russion to English.

It is like watching a Monty Python sketch.

“… it looks like a beautiful design like so concieved simply living thing is gone visited by many opinion characterstics, it is the same as in tourist trip slip premier infertility March 13th inch…”

#17

Good that i got such a good deal on the i7 version

#18

@iKirin your comment under the article is great! :joy:

Thanks dude, you just made me spit my coffee laughing with your comment - “…tourist trip slip premier infertility…” LOL hilarious!

#20

And another one.

#21

Thanks!
Apparently it’s quite difficult to explain them the correct price/specs of the Eve-V… In this one, they report that Eve-V
will come with the same processor options that the Surface Pro 4 offered. This means the Eve V will be available with Core m3, Core i5 or Core i7 versions.
which is a bit misleading…

#22

That sadly is just what press is nowadays…
They just copy from each others without crosschecking and spread wrong information and even satirical material (Example The Guardian with “Die Tagespresse” (Famous Austrian Satirical Online Newspaper) with a satirical Article about one Austrian politican)
