And I am sorry for terribly slow answer
First of all microfiber is in fact probably the best solution as well as wet tissue paper. Now actually you are right in a way every time you touch the glass with something hard (dust particles) you actually make micro scratches that eye doesn't see but they accumulate over time and then make whole glass much weaker. But that is unavoidable and common for all products in the market that I know of.
Antifingerprint coating is the coating that is applied to our chemically strengthened Corning glass. As any coating over time it wears out and in that case it doesn't really matter so much whether you are slowly removing it with your fingers or microfiber cloth.
So to answer your question.
Yes, you can use anything that is typically used for cleaning the glass without being afraid to wear coating out faster.
Eventually coating will wear out and lose some of its effect.
We got the best coating we could from our glass supplier. What you can do if your coating will wear out (I mean antifingerprint coating) is to buy coating online. There are antifingerprint print coatings that can be self applied. But I am quite sure our coating will last just fine
