Picking them up in Japan sounds very nice. Have you considered that Sharp, a very big company, has procedures in place and will do things their way? You can’t just expect them to open their doors and hand over some samples because we’re in a hurry. We are a new contact, ordering samples of a brand new cutting edge screen. We don’t have any favors lined up with them just yet, and we’re trying to build a long-term relationship with an important component provider.
And taking display panels out of a finished device where it may already be bonded to other components is not a way to get reliable test results. If Dell added, removed or changed anything about the panel, or if anything is damaged when removing Dell’s cover glass from the panel, it skews test results. We are not looking for a fast and dirty solution that works. We’re looking for a durable and precise solution that lasts, so that every V user has an amazing device soon and Eve won’t go bankrupt later from returns and repair fees.
