So guys, sorry for the long downtime!
We had some hectic week with slush & I'm still a the hotel in Berlin due to some genious airline who can't have their own machines wait for them but I'll try to answer all your questions to my best knowledge & information available!
@hellBENder: As far as my information goes this is the peak brightness, and this information is straight from the datasheet of the screen we're using. Since we don't have the facilities to properly measure those values. As for if the brightness is covered by our warranty I'm still waiting for the confirmation there.
@benej98: Regarding the keyboard: We should be at ~15.5mm with the keyboard - this is not really thicker than the Surface Pro 4, which is ~13.5 mm with the (type cover) keyboard to my knowledge. Since we're also having the bluetooth connectivity and decided to have a great typing experience I think those 2.5mm should be worth it since we're not racing to be "the slimmest" device out there and chasing numbers, but rather chasing something more useful - and that is the "best device" title (Please take this with a grain of salt as I don't have the exact numbers on the thickness of our keyboard)
@Ryan I'm right now confirming with @Mike that we can at least choose the layout for the FN-layer in the hardware ourselfes - once I got that confirmed we'll have a poll where everyone can show of their ideas!
I'm not sure it is, but we should be able to put an "altGr" as well
The keyboard is not RGB backlit but multicolor. This is what we can promise right now, we're looking into it that we can hopefully customize the colors via software. But we're still awaiting confirmation on that, so we now promise only the multicolor and no RGB.
@xDrako According to my information you should be, yeah! Would be weird if it wasn't able to turn off the bluetooth
@kazenorin We should be compatible with all USB PowerDeliver 2.0 chargers. According to my information we'll be charging at 9V/3A according to USB PD 2.0 specification.
Yes, you can, but let me refer to the appropriate question in the FAQ
@hellBender: Please refer to the answer I gave to @Ryan for the page down/up
I'll have to double-check that. However given that at the point you're recieving your V there won't be many on the market and people will be waiting to get their orders from the third batch and beyond I'm pretty sure you'd be able to sell it.
And lastly, Windows 10: You can upgrade now, I'm not sure we're offering the upgrade for people once the IndieGoGo campaign closes.
@Pacman: as far as I know we won't have hardware switches for these, but have all the default software switches provided by windows for something like this.
